Jap­man Bajaj is an up and com­ing entre­pre­neur, an avid Tweeter, and pas­sion­ate about build­ing real, mean­ing­ful rela­tion­ships with other peo­ple. Inter­ests include social media, human psy­chol­ogy, and volunteering.

From a young age, Jap­man has dealt with dif­fi­cul­ties and adver­sity with a light sense of humour and a laugh. The lessons learnt and the char­ac­ter built from those expe­ri­ences has made him the open-minded, open-hearted, and ambi­tious man that he is today.

For many years, Jap­man dab­bled with var­i­ous ideas of what his future would hold. For a while, he wanted to be an NBA super­star, but that dream died when he was inex­plic­a­bly passed over in his first year of draft eli­gi­bil­ity. Also, he wasn’t very good.

Thoughts about law, finance, and at one point, even polic­ing came across his mind. But in his sec­ond year of uni­ver­sity at Car­leton Uni­ver­sity, Jap­man acci­den­tally came across ACE, a stu­dent club affil­i­ated to a national not-for-profit orga­ni­za­tion. That’s when his life changed

Now, Jap­man is always look­ing at every pos­si­ble way to expand him­self as an indi­vid­ual, and to max­i­mize his con­tri­bu­tion to the com­mu­ni­ties of which he is a part. Edu­ca­tion and men­tor­ing have over­shad­owed his long-term goals, and expe­ri­ence and fear­less­ness are his short-term goals.

Jap­man is an excel­lent speaker with a stage pres­ence and an abil­ity to build con­nec­tions with his audi­ence. He has deliv­ered speeches and pre­sen­ta­tions to audi­ences from 20 to 500 peo­ple and has also actively engaged high school stu­dents in per­sonal motivation.

Jap­man is a food lover, a cof­fee lover, a fit­ness lover, an Ottawa Sen­a­tors lover, a travel lover, a sports lover, a spir­i­tu­al­ity lover, and a pas­sion lover, and clearly, a lover of speak­ing in the third per­son. Pro­fes­sion­ally, Jap­man is an entre­pre­neur, and a Direc­tor of the Board of Car­leton SIFE.
